Pros and cons of Mac OS Ken App app for iPhone and iPad

Mac OS Ken App app good for

The updated Mac OS Ken App now gives me an outline of the podcast right on screen. I find the app works every time and allows the podcast to stream over 3G without a problem. This is an app that gives 110% of what is expected.
One of the few shows I listen to every day, and have for many years. Ken not only provides the news that Apple product users love to hear, but does it in his own interesting, unique and nuanced manner. I dont know where else I would get my daily fix of Apple news. Thanks Ken! MarkinMD
Now that this is in whats hot, I want to inform the world that Ken Ray is awesome. He adds the perfect combination of nerd and class to a podcast lengthed to fit perfectly in your drive to or from work.
You know what would be good? If this app had an in-app option to send Ken $.99 every once in a while, like whenever. I mean, dont waste a lot of time trying to make this app worth $2.99 by giving us an extra thing. We are only buying it to support his excellent daily "All Things I" updates and insights. So make it easier to keep doing that. I might hem and haw over whether I should buy a 99-cent game, but Ill happily send off a buck now and again to Ken Ray, since I listen to his show every *BEEEEP* *BEEEEP* day. Bgosh. Hey, seriously, Ken, be the first to do this and see what happens when NPR, PETA and the NRA find out. Unless this violates Apples app submission guidelines. Then you could get around it by selling a red checkmark that shows up somewhere in the app. Maybe after we buy 10 checkmarks, we get a green checkmark or a yellow star. I want a yellow star!
I have been a listener for over a year and love this podcast. This app compliments the show perfectly. It nice to have the most recent podcast without having to sync my iPhone You rock Ken!
If you have not listened to Ken Ray yet, you are missing out on daily insight into all things Apple. Highly recommended. This app is a great tool or subscribe in iTunes. Ken . . YOU ROCK !!

Some bad moments

I bought this software, and I dont regret it because I enjoy the MacOSKen Podcast. The least I can do is forfeit a bit of dough for Kens show. However, I had the wrong impression about this product and others may too. Just to be clear, this application requires a wi-fi or cell connection. I have an iPod Touch and bought this app on the premise that it would automatically download the podcasts each day and Id continue to play them as Im driving to work. Unfortunately it doesnt work that way. It streams the podcast, which means you need a connection. The latest version of the iPod Touch/iPhone firmware allows one to download podcasts without having to do a sync to the computer. This is the part I dont really get. The functionality is already there. If people are running out of space to store a couple of megs podcast then a clean up is in order. The main benefit for me is supporting Ken. Other than that I wont be using this utility.
I got this app not even looking at the price (thought it would be free since it is a podcast app). Then I cant even freAking open it!!! WTF!!! I even tried rebooting my phone and it still giving me an error message.
You would think this app would work better than most since it is all about mac stufff but unfortunately it doesnt and not worth the 3 bucks for it! The app will crash and trying to stream the podcast takes minutes before it can buffer enough to play. Much easier to just download the podcasts from itunes and save your money!
Not only is it STILL not compatible with the iPhone 5 or 5s, looks horrible. I also get the "no network" error message. It pops up when I launch it 9 out of 10 times. Not acceptable for a "Mac/iOS" app. Have reached out to the show and the app creator months ago and nothing gets fixed. Not worth the money.
You cannot mark all prior episodes played without actually FFing the episode - so back editions from the years ago keep popping up & playing. Buy the app to support the content, but then quickly delete it and use another podcast app to manage the content.
